Every year thousands of Spanish companies leave unused the money they have to train their staff. Not because they aren't interested, but because they don't know they have it or the paperwork seems complicated. For a training provider, that's a market waiting for a call.

What the training credit is

Spanish companies that pay vocational training contributions for their employees have an annual credit to train them, recovered as a discount on social security contributions. It's managed by FUNDAE.

  • Companies with 1-5 employees have a minimum of €420 a year.
  • Unused credit doesn't roll over: it's lost at year end.

That last point is your argument.

Who your client is

  • Companies with employees. Sole traders without staff don't generate credit.
  • 3-49 employees, where there's rarely an HR department to manage it.
  • Sectors with clear needs: health and safety, food handling, languages, office software, forklift.

The call

"Companies with employees have an annual training credit that's lost if it isn't used before year end, and many don't take advantage of it. Are you using yours this year?"

If the answer is "I don't know", offer to check and propose a specific course.

Remove the paperwork

The barrier isn't money, it's admin. If you manage FUNDAE as the organising entity, remove it entirely: "You choose the course and dates; we handle the rest."

Don't promise specific amounts without checking, and avoid practices the inspectorate pursues, such as courses that aren't delivered or "gifts" for using the credit.
